T-1 Technicalities.
A T-1 is a digital transmission link that operates at 1.544 Mbps. It consists of 24 Digital Signal level (DS0) channels, each carrying 64 Kbps. By using Digital Access and Cross-connect System (DACS) technology, Electric Lightwave bundles lines/trunks with DS0s used for other services, and delivers them on the same T-1.
